Clarence Plains Community Awards Celebration

On a warm sunny, spring evening of Thursday 4 November 2021, One Community Together held its fourth annual community awards celebration.  Community members, dignitaries, partner organisations and supporters gathered at the Grace Centre to celebrate and congratulate the awesome people that we have in the Clarence Plains community. Over 80 people came along to celebrate at the Grace Centre which was a full house of good vibes.

Some nominees were so modest about being nominated that they did not wish to stand up to be recognised. There were 27 nominees in 7 categories.  It was a pleasure to see people honoured as Dermot Cottuli led the proceedings with his usual warm humour.  After the official ceremony came to an end, all were invited to stay behind to share some food and connect as a community

A delicious soup was cooked up by the Dream Team parents from Clarendon Vale Primary School and Clarence Plains Child and Family Learning Centre and was served with love by the Grace Church volunteers.  As well as the soup there was a lovely grazing table full of nibbles and desserts beautifully set out by Laura from Abundant Life Church.  A wonderful evening was had by all and a huge thank you to the Community Life Focus Team for organising such a fantastic night.
